Mission & Principles

Mission Statement

Consistent with the rich history of the Villanova University School of Law and teachings of St. Augustine, the mission of the Villanova Law Alumni Association is to foster loyalty and fellowship among the School of Law and its alumni, to promote a commitment to public service, and to assist the School of Law and its alumni in the pursuit of excellence in legal education and the practice of law.

Principles (Values or Beliefs)

We believe in the School of Law's Catholic tradition and its commitment to welcoming individuals of all beliefs and perspectives.

We believe that a lawyer's vocation must include a sense of responsibility for the poor and an awareness of the needs of individuals and groups within our community.

We believe that the achievement of personal and professional excellence by our alumni, as well as their volunteer efforts on behalf of their fellow alumni, the School of Law, and their communities, must be consistently recognized and honored.

We believe that we can most effectively serve our current and future alumni by sponsoring programs that will support their personal and professional development, as well as provide them with opportunities to remain in contact with each other and the School of Law.
