Inn of Court
The Villanova Law J. Willard O’Brien American
Inn of Court is an unincorporated association chartered by the American
Inns of Court Foundation. The
mission of the American Inns of Court is to foster excellence in
professionalism, ethics, civility, and legal skills for judges, lawyers,
academicians, and students of the law in order to perfect the quality,
availability and efficiency of justice in the United States.

Founded in the spring of 2000, The Villanova Law Inn, named for Dean Emeritus
J. Willard O’Brien,
addresses litigation and consists of 110 members—judges, lawyers, law
professors and law students. The Inn members meet eight times per year, between
the months of September and April, to visit with one another and to hold
programs on matters of ethics, skills and professionalism, for which attorney’s
receive continuing legal education credit. The membership is divided into
five pupillage teams, each charged with presenting one educational program per
year.
