Class Scholarship Program
The Class Scholarship Program was initiated in the fall of 1997 when at his 30th reunion, Edward R. Murphy, ’67, shared with his classmates Dean Mark Sargent’s concern over the lack of scholarship assistance available to Villanova Law students.
Under Ed’s leadership, the Class of 1967 was the first class to accept the challenge,
and the first class to reach its goal of $125,000 in pledges. Ten other classes are now participating
(1959, 1962, 1964, 1966, 1968, 1969, 1971, 1973, 1975, 1984).
While these class scholarships will not provide for a full tuition scholarship,
they will provide approximately $6,250 a year to a worthy recipient for each of his or her three years at Villanova School of Law.
