Letter from the Law School Registrar
Dear Incoming Law Student:
Welcome to Villanova University School of Law and the Class of 2007. This letter contains information about the upcoming Orientation and Registration Program for the Law School. We have posted the orientation materials to the law school’s web site. You will want to print some of this information to bring with you to Orientation. In particular, you will need to print all of the Legal Writing information and the Community Building Workshop article. If you have trouble printing the materials, please contact the Admissions Office.
On the first day of Orientation, August 18, 2004, you need to report to the Law School Cafeteria to sign-in.
It is very important that you sign-in at your designated time on the 18th or we will assume that you will not be matriculating, and we will give your place in the class to an applicant on our wait list.
When you sign-in, you will receive your schedule of classes. First year schedules are not flexible. You will be assigned to classes by the Registrar’s Office; it is not possible to change your schedule. If you have access to NOVASIS and have seen a schedule of classes,
do not rely on this schedule. Class assignments can change, and no schedules are final before Orientation.
It is not possible for you to purchase books before getting your class schedule. Time is built into the orientation schedule for a trip to the bookstore, which is next to the Bursar's Office, where you may also need to make a stop. The Bursar will have a line solely for the use of law students. In order to begin classes you must have paid your tuition or make arrangements with the Financial Aid Office to receive aid. The Law School Financial Aid Office is located in room 49 at the law school.
Have a great summer! We look forward to welcoming you in August.
Sincerely,
Maureen O'Mara Carver
Assistant Dean for Student Records and Registrar
