Professor Anderson received her B.A. with college honors and honors in the major from the University of California at Santa Cruz and her J.D. from Yale Law School. At Yale, she was a notes editor of the Yale Law Journal and an editor of the Yale Journal of Law and Feminism. Following law school, Professor Anderson was a law clerk to the Honorable William A. Norris of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She then was a Supervising Attorney at the Appellate Litigation Clinic at the Georgetown University Law Center (where she also received an LL.M.). Later, she worked as a Visiting Professor at the Institute for Public Representation at Georgetown before joining the Villanova faculty in 1998.
Professor Anderson's research focuses on rape law, child sexual abuse, law and sexuality, and feminist legal theory.
