Professor Carroll received his A.B. with general honors from the University of Chicago and his J.D. magna cum laude from the Georgetown University Law Center. At Georgetown, he was the Editor-in-Chief of the American Criminal Law Review and was elected to the Order of the Coif. He was a law clerk to the Honorable Joyce Hens Green of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia and the Honorable Judith W. Rogers of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. Before joining the faculty in 2001, Professor Carroll was an associate at Wilmer, Cutler & Pickering in Washington, D.C.
Professor Carroll’s research and teaching interests focus on intellectual property and law and the Internet.
