Professor Chanenson received his B.A. and M.S. from the University of Pennsylvania, and his J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School. At Chicago, he was a comment editor of the University of Chicago Law Review. He was a law clerk to the Honorable Phyllis A. Kravitch of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and the Honorable William J. Brennan, Jr. of the United States Supreme Court. While at the Court, he also participated as a law clerk in Justice David Souter’s Chambers. He has worked as an associate at Jenner & Block in Chicago and an Assistant U.S. Attorney in Chicago before joining the faculty in 2000 as a Visiting Professor.
Professor Chanenson’s research and teaching interests focus on criminal law, criminal procedure, and corporate and white collar crime.
