| Professor Lyon received her B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, her M.S. from the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service, and her J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center. At Georgetown, she was the Managing Editor of Law and Policy in International Business. Before joining the faculty in 2001, Professor Lyon was a staff attorney with the Lawyers Committee for Human Rights in Washington, D.C., a consultant to the Centre on Housing Rights and Evictions in Geneva, Switzerland, and a Practitioner-in-Residence at the Washington College of Law, American University.
