Marisa S. Cianciarulo is the 2003-04 Reuschlein Clinical Teaching Fellow for the Clinic for Asylum, Refugee and Emigrant Services (CARES). Marisa comes to Villanova from the American Bar Association Commission on Immigration Policy, Practice and Pro Bono in Washington, D.C., where she had served as the staff attorney since December 2001. Prior to that, she was a principal in the immigration law firm of Yacub & Cianciarulo in Falls Church, Virginia. Marisa began practicing immigration law as a student attorney in the American University Washington College of Law International Human Rights Clinic from 1997-1998. From there she went on to be a staff attorney and interim legal director of Catholic Charities Hogar Hispano in Falls Church, Virginia. She received a J.D. from American University Washington College of Law, an M.A. from American University School of International Service, and a B.A. from Catholic University, all in Washington, D.C. She is originally from Cherry Hill, N.J.
