Professor Cody earned her B.A., magna cum laude, from Denison University and her J.D. with Honors from the University of Chicago Law School. At Chicago, she was a member of the Law Review and published an article there upon graduation. Before joining the faculty in 2004, Professor Cody clerked for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and was an associate in the commercial litigation department of Pepper Hamilton LLP. At Pepper Hamilton, Professor Cody’s practice focused on higher education law, antitrust law, and fiduciary responsibility. Additionally, Professor Cody taught Media Law and Ethics to undergraduates at Widener University.
Professor Cody’s research and teaching interests include legal writing, antidiscrimination law, media law, and civil litigation practice and procedure, and professionalism.
