Professor Mendez received her B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and her J.D. from the George Washington University Law School, where she concurrently completed her M.B.A. degree at GW's School of Business and Public Management. At GW, Professor Mendez was on the Moot Court Board and on the Government Contracts Law Journal. Before joining the faculty in 2002, she spent three years in the Labor and Employment section at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius in Philadelphia, and was very active in pro bono matters. Professor Mendez's research and teaching interests focus on legal writing, oral advocacy, public interest law and labor and employment law.
